MARCH, 2008

March 3, 2008. - International Sex Worker Rights Day. In honor of International Sex Worker Rights Day we are launching our campaign to revoke the mandatory minimum sentencing laws for prostitution here in Arizona.  To view the current laws, see here.  For instance, after a fourth offense, the mandatory sentence is a Class 5 felony and six months in prison. We are working with Caroline Isaacs from the American Friends Service Committee for a change to these unjust laws.

March 9, 2008. - Bros-n-Hos Bike Wash & Fundraiser Party. We're raising funds to send representatives to the national convention in July! Gilligans Pub, 1308 West Glenn. Bike Wash 2-6pm, donations. Party 8-11pm, $5 cover. Lots of sexy entertainment by SWOP girls!

March ___, 2008, 1pm - 5pm. - SUPER THINK TANK MEETING! Hunker down and bring your visions, ideas, and dreams for SWOP-Tucson! Agenda items include creating a SWOP-Tucson mission statement, local chapter goals and strategy, community outreach, committee formations, calendar of events, fundraising, community access cable tv show, sex worker advocacy training and more!
